In BEDTIME AT BESSIE AND LIL’S, bunny sisters Bessie and Lil are supposed to be listening to Mama as she reads them her favorite book, a book in which the bunnies behave exactly as bedtime bunnies should. But they are too busy skipping and looking for fireflies and chatting together and laughing together and promising not to wake the baby together.

This is the story of two spirited bunnies, their tired Mama, a treasured book, and a bedtime routine that is nothing like it’s supposed to be.

REVIEW

“BEDTIME AT BESSIE AND LIL’S offers a delightful look at what bedtime routines are often really like. … Sternberg’s breezily amusing text is spot-on. … Gudeon’s primitive drawing style works well with his bright colors and clever artistic touches…. BEDTIME AT BESSIE AND LIL’S is a gentle family drama that reinforces the idea that despite the moments of chaos that naturally occur in a boisterous, loving family, in the end things often have a way of working out surprisingly well.”  - BookPage
